Early access Windows 10 and 11

Tell it the task.
Watch it work.
Stay in control.

WENS Browser is a Windows browser with a built-in AI agent. Describe what you need in plain language and it browses, reads, fills and checks for you, with safety rules enforced in code instead of left to the AI's judgement.

What it does

A browser that does the work, and keeps you in the loop.

Browse in Chrome, Edge or any browser you like. Use WENS when you want a task finished.

An agent for real tasks

Describe a task in plain language. WENS plans it, browses, reads pages and fills forms in its own browser while you watch live. Take over, or hand back, whenever you like.

A safety kernel, not a promise

Every address is tagged by where it came from. Your local network and files are off limits to the agent. Payments, posts and deletions wait for your approval, showing the exact request.

Your passwords stay yours

Passwords and one-time codes are typed by you, into the page. They are never sent to the AI.

Secure tabs

Open a site yourself in a tab the agent cannot see or touch. Useful for sites that keep asking you to prove you are human, and for anything private.

Early

Your AI, your choice

Bring a free API key from Groq, Google Gemini or OpenRouter, or run a small model on your own PC. Data marked secret goes only to the model on your PC.

On-device model: early

A record you can read

Each step the agent takes is written to a tamper-evident log on your PC. A payment or post interrupted halfway is never repeated automatically, and WENS lists it for you at start-up.

How a task runs

Three steps. You keep the last word.

The agent does the legwork. You approve the parts that matter.

  1. Describe it

Type what you need, or attach a file. "Find the cheapest flight on Friday and stop before booking."

  2. Watch it

The agent works in a live view of its own browser. Take over with one click, or press stop.

  3. Approve the risky bits

Anything that spends money, posts, sends or deletes pauses and shows you exactly what it is about to do.

Safety

Safety that does not depend on the AI behaving.

AI agents read untrusted web pages, and a page can try to give the agent orders. Independent researchers found that several AI browsers let such attacks cross website boundaries (University of Washington, June 2026). WENS puts its main rules in code that sits between the AI and the web.

  • Where every address came from. A link you typed, a link on a page, and an address the agent made up are treated differently.
  • Protected zones. Addresses on your own network, loopback and local files are refused for the agent.
  • Approvals show the real request. You see the exact action and destination, not a summary written by the AI.
  • Secrets never reach the AI. Passwords, card details and one-time codes are typed by you.
  • No silent repeats. An interrupted payment, post or deletion is never retried automatically.

What we have shown, and what we have not

These rules are tested on Windows against a lab of attack scenarios, on both Chrome and Edge. We publish this because the claim should be checkable, not because the work is finished.

WENS Browser has not been independently audited yet. It is an early version, and the agent will sometimes get things wrong. Keep approvals on, and check the result of anything important.

Privacy at a glance

Your browsing stays on your PC.

WENS has no account and no analytics. This is where data goes, in full detail in the privacy policy.

WhatWhere it goes
Your tasks and the pages the agent readsTo the AI provider you chose (Groq, Google Gemini or OpenRouter), using your own key. With the on-device model they stay on your PC.
History, bookmarks, settings and the activity logStored on your PC only.
Passwords and one-time codesTyped by you into the page. Never sent to the AI.
Update checkWhen WENS opens, it asks wenslink.com for the latest version number. As with any website, our server sees your IP address.
Optional downloadsThe on-device model from Hugging Face, extensions from the Chrome Web Store, phishing and malware lists from public GitHub lists, and site icons from the sites themselves.

What to expect

An early version, described honestly.

We would rather tell you the limits now than have you find them later.

Windows only, for now

Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit. WENS uses Microsoft Edge (included with Windows) or Google Chrome already on your PC.

The agent can be wrong

It may misread a page, stop early or fail on a complicated site. Some sites with strict bot checks need a Secure tab. Check results that matter.

Not a Chrome replacement

Keep browsing in the browser you use today. WENS does not yet cover everything a daily browser does, such as sync, and file downloads in Secure tabs are off.

Windows may warn you when you open the installer

The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen can show "Windows protected your PC". Before you continue, check that the file's SHA-256 matches the one in the download section below. If it does, choose More info, then Run anyway.
